ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

"In 30 years' time, it will be forbidden for a human to drive a car," predict Artificial Intelligence researchers (Yann LeCun, 2016). Images have invaded our daily lives, but understanding them automatically remains a major challenge: distinguishing a cat from a dog is an easy task for a child, but still remains difficult for a computer. By mimicking the learning capabilities of the human brain, artificial intelligence, and more specifically artificial neural networks, are now capable of recognizing, describing or even generating images. Numerous applications are within reach: autonomous driving, medical diagnostic aids, climate monitoring, etc.
