On Thursday, March 1, 2018, the association Science Actions is offering a ciné-science session with the film "Sugarland". The film will be shown at the cinéma l'Astrée, in Chambéry, and starts at 8:30pm.

Sugar is everywhere! Our entire food industry depends on it. How has this food infiltrated, often without our knowledge, the heart of our culture and our diets? Damon Gameau embarks on a unique experiment: testing the effects of a high-sugar diet on a healthy body, eating only food considered healthy and balanced. Through this playful and informative journey, Damon highlights problematic issues about the sugar industry and tackles its omnipresence on our supermarket shelves! Sugarland will change the way you look at your diet forever!
The documentary screening will be followed by a discussion with :
- Dr Cécile Bossu-Estour, endocrinologist and hospital practitioner at the Centre Hospitalier Métropole Savoie, Chambéry
- Robert Mondot, president of Que Choisir in Chambéry and national administrator in charge of food issues.

Cinés Science are offered as part of the Cafés Scientifiques (or "Cafés Sciences et Citoyen, Débat") program. They offer the general public the chance to debate with experts, researchers and professionals over a screening, on a wide range of subjects, many of them topical.
