This year,Université Savoie Mont Blanc and its Faculty of Law will be hosting the eighth cycle of "Conférences de Vie Politique Comparée" (Comparative Political Life Lectures), featuring witnesses and researchers in the social sciences and humanities (sociology, philosophy, history) whose work sheds light on major contemporary socio-political issues. For the first time, three meetings will be organized as part of student initiatives, set up and run by students.

The third cycle conference will take place on Thursday, March 21, 2019 , from 1:30 to 3:30 pm, in amphitheater 3 on the Jacob-Bellecombette campus, with Isabelle Jarjaille, on the question: "Public services delegated to the private sector: who benefits from the deal?".

Isabelle Jarjaille is a freelance journalist and lecturer at the IUT in Lannion, Brittany, and a regular contributor to Médiacités and La Gazette des communes, notably on issues relating to local authorities and public services. With a degree in political science from the University of Lyon II, she will be talking to us about her career path and her conception of the civic role of her profession. In particular, she will present the results and issues of her latest survey, published by Éditions Yves Michel (2018): Services publics délégués au privé : à qui profite le deal ?
