SIMUREX Thematic School

October 15, 2018 10:20 am - October 19, 2018 1:30 PM

The Laboratoire d'Optimisation de la Conception et Ingénierie de l'Environnement (LOCIE) is organizing the SIMUREX 2018 scientific school from October 15 to 19, 2018.

The school will take place on Monday October 15 at the INES Helios building on the Bourget-du-Lac campus, and in Aussois on the following days.

About the SIMUREX Thematic School

SIMUREX 2018 deals with SIMUlation and experimentation of building energy performance. This problem is characterized by large spatio-temporal scales, strong multi-physics coupling and important interdisciplinary issues. Building physics is the intersection of several fields: applied mathematics, fluid mechanics, automation, human sciences, data and signal processing, etc.

The main aim of the SIMUREX scientific school is to demonstrate this interdisciplinarity in practice, with the aim of increasing the reliability of building energy performance assessment, either through simulation or experimental measurements.

The school is aimed at students and researchers, and will offer a mix of lectures, workshops, exercises and other discussions.

The main topics will be :

  • Heat coupling and mass transfer: modelling and monitoring
  • Optimization methods and building characterization
  • Data analysis and statistical learning techniques
  • Modeling from building to city scale
  • The role of the humanities in building sciences

Language The seminar will be held in English.
