Festival "Plus d'égalité" - Round-table discussion "Are women politicians like any other?"

From May 7 to 18, the "Plus d'égalité" Festival will take place on the campuses ofUniversité Savoie Mont Blanc (USMB), and in partner venues. Taking the time to ask questions, accepting confrontation, imagining solutions, but above all reflecting and debating together on issues of equality, is the aim of the various events taking place during this festival. The USMB is offering conferences, round-table discussions and meetings with artists and specialists who will question our representations of relations between women and men.

On Friday, March 15, 2019, in Amphi C002 at Polytech Annecy-Chambéry on the Bourget-du-Lac campus, the round-table discussion "Are women politicians like any other?" will take place.

Motivations, added value, struggles, methods, difficulties... Portraits and testimonials from local elected women. They will tell us about their daily lives as women involved in politics, a veritable school of leadership and negotiation, diplomacy and responsibility. With the participation of :

  • Martine Berthet, Senator for Savoie ;
  • Christelle Favetta-Sieyes, Savoie Departmental Councillor and Vice-President of theSavoie Economic Development Agency;
  • Marina Ferrari, First Deputy Mayor of Aix-les-Bains and Vice-President of the Savoie Departmental Council;
  • Muriel Jeandet, Deputy Mayor of Chambéry;
  • Catherine Pacoret, regional heritage advisor

Round-table discussion organized by the Club des Entreprises de l'Université Savoie Mont Blanc and moderated by Sophie Guillaud, Editorial Development Director ofEco Savoie Mont Blanc. It will be followed by a cocktail reception.
