ABOUT THE CONCERT

The American Quartet is a magnificent testimony to the special atmosphere that inspired Anton Dvorák when he discovered the New World in 1892. An untamed, untamed nature, which can also be found in the poetic wide-open spaces of Aaron Copland's music. The entire musical history of the American continent is bathed in this spirit of freedom, which can be found in the works of Piazzolla, Romero, Nazareth and the "lullabies" of Jacob Gerschowitz, who "Americanized" his name to Gershwin in order to enjoy the success of Broadway comedies. In this musical melting-pot, where a breath of fresh air blows in, our musicians will perform in a new configuration of unconducted chamber orchestra.

With the support of Musique Nouvelle en Liberté.
