USMB responded to the first call for applications for the MIC project in 2015. Since then, each application aims to strengthen privileged relations with a limited number of Universities.

Our first partner country was Russia, particularly with the Siberian establishments. A long-term international cooperation, which allows a balanced multidisciplinary collaboration between research and academics.

A lasting presence in Canada, the popular destination for USMB students. This choice is in line with the strategy of the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes Region, which recognizes Quebec as a priority area for the development of multidisciplinary relationships.

In Asia, Laos and Japan . At research new partners to strengthen incoming student mobility and outgoing educational mobility to facilitate skills transfer. Laos, our partner for a few years now, and Japan , with its very good academic training, are naturally part of this project to create double degrees.

For USMB, the 2018 TRIMs are extended to 4 new countries:

  • Argentina: a university system of recognized quality. Several components already have close relationships in research or academics with Argentinean academic institutions.
  • Burkina Faso : The city of Chambéry maintains privileged links with this geographical area selected as a priority by the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region. This country is also part of the USMB's Francophonie network. Long-term scientific projects are already on the calendar for relocated summer schools.
  • Ukraine: one of the most attractive countries for software development, with a strong scientific tradition linked to its renowned physics centres. Several contacts have already been made with various institutions, strengthening them will make it possible to energize the education system, transfer skills and generate bilateral agreements for outgoing and incoming students.
  • Vietnam: A close collaboration in the research already exists, and Vietnamese students are interested in bilingual training, especially in disciplines offered at the USMB. Their participation in mobility could lead to the creation of new double degrees.
