The University of Savoie Mont Blanc's Travel Plan aims at a sustainable management of home-to-work, professional and visitor travel. It is a mobility plan, in the sense of decree n° 2006-1663 of 22 December 2006, which makes it compulsory for administrations located within the jurisdiction of an agglomeration of more than 100,000 inhabitants.
The PDUS promotes the use of alternative modes of transport for individual car use:
- the bicycle, possibly with electric assistance,
- the bus, the coach, the train,
- carpooling and car sharing.
In addition, it includes a reflection on incentives to limit staff travel.
- See maps and directions to the different sites of the University
- Discover useful websites to get around in another way (urban transport, departmental coaches, trains, car-sharing, car-pooling, cycling)
Staff and students can also find more detailed information on the PDUS site on the University's intranet.
USE PUBLIC TRANSPORT
50% of the price of your home-work subscription (bus, coach, train) is supported by the USMB..
The University of Savoie Mont Blanc is committed to partnerships with local transport companies, in particular by signing agreements. In some cases, the agreement allows the agent to benefit from an even more advantageous fare.
Examination of staff timetables must take account of the arrangements and constraints linked to the mode of transport of the staff, in compliance with the service obligations.
COME BY BIKE, ON FOOT, ON ROLLERBLADES
Active modes of transportation are great for your health and your wallet. The Université Savoie Mont Blanc encourages the use of bicycles by offering adapted parking areas: bicycle racks, closed bicycle garages on each site.
Showers are available at all sites for staff using active transportation.
On each site, a repair kit allows you to deal with the small unexpected.
Subscriptions to a public bicycle rental service may be partially paid for under the same conditions as public transport season tickets.
The Université Savoie Mont Blanc participates in events promoting cycling, both local and national, such as the Fête du Vélo.
Staff are invited to use the permanent or temporary Cycling Bus routes.
The University Savoie Mont Blanc encourages carpooling by communicating around selected carpool websites.
Parking spaces may be reserved for "carpoolers".
FOR YOUR BUSINESS TRIPS, TAKE THE BUS AND THE TRAIN.
The bus can enable you to make many business trips.
When you register for a academicsbus ticket, tick the box "bus tickets" to receive one with your invitation.
To attend meetings, tickets are available from the SLS (Site Logistics Service) of each site and from Marcoz's reception desk.
Also think about TER for your trips to Grenoble and Lyon.
OR USE CAR SHARING
L’carsharing makes it easy to rent a car for a short period of time, through a subscription taken out by the University Savoie Mont Blanc. The formula is flexible: just book and choose a vehicle (S, M, L, Hybrid) on a website for short or long trips. It is possible to keep the vehicle for several days.
THINK ABOUT TRANSPORTATION WHEN YOU ORGANIZE A MEETING
A vademecum of the meeting or course organizer gives you tools to optimize the travel of participants (carpooling, public transport, videoconferencing).
In order to avoid certain trips, consider videoconferencing.
USE BIKE COURIERS
For your deliveries to Chambéry and Annecy
LUNCH ON SITE
Collective catering, accessible kitchenettes, outdoor table-benches for the fine weather, choose the formula that suits you.
