CULTURAL VENUESUNIVERSITÉ SAVOIE MONT BLANC

A number of venues on university estates are used to host and organize artistic and cultural events.

Bourget-du-Lac Campus

EVE: Espace Vie Etudiante, building 6

EVE is a student center with a cafeteria run by a student association. The hall is open to all for festive, cultural or institutional events.

Over twenty cultural and artistic events are organized each year (DJ sets during the Art'iculation Festival, lunchtime jams, Campus waves, campus en fête, concerts, exhibitions, etc.).

Jacob-Bellecombette Campus

Cultural amphitheatre 11,000

Amphithéâtre 11000 is both a teaching facility and a venue for events (shows, competitions and screenings).

Capacity: over 150 seats
2 dressing rooms + kitchenette
Large stage, piano, sound system
Projector bar, digital projector, 35mm cinema projector (reserved for the activities of the Univerciné association)

The hall also hosts rehearsals and performances by the TRUC student theater association and the FAC musique student music association. Every Wednesday, theUniverciné association takes over the premises for film screenings.

Partners in scientific culture

Throughout the year, the USMB organizes numerous events to enable the general public to meet researchers and share the fruits of their research with them. These activities are offered in collaboration with local partners, including the CCSTI of the city of Chambéry(Galerie Eurêka),Annecy Commune Nouvelle (La Turbine Sciences), the Université savoisienne du temps libre(USTL) association, and associations(Science-Actions, MJC).

The University also works with secondary schools, high schools and colleges, to raise awareness of science and scientific careers among young people.

Finally, to help spread scientific culture throughout the region, the USMB collaborates with the Albertville town hall, the Annemasse agglomeration, the Archamps Technopôle, the town of Evian, etc.
