Since the 1980s, scientists have believed that more than 85% of the cosmos is composed of unknown, unobserved matter. They have dubbed it "dark matter". It could explain many phenomena, from the dynamics of galaxies to the "cosmic web" structure of the Universe. What do they know about it today? How do they track it down?
