The spirit of entrepreneurship reflects the USMB's desire to make student entrepreneurship a priority by offering the opportunity to follow entrepreneurship training courses, by encouraging the conduct of entrepreneurial projects during studies and by improving the recognition of the skills developed by our student entrepreneurs.
Created in 2011, the Pôle Entrepreneuriat de l'Université Savoie Mont Blanc is a scheme for students who have a real desire to become entrepreneurs.

The national student-entrepreneur status
This status will provide you with the skills and resources to help you build your project over the course of a year.
Who should attend? All students who have a business creation project, whatever its nature and stage of development.
What do you get out of it? For one year:
- Personalised support from professional and university tutors
- Networking with players in the entrepreneurial ecosystem (support, financing)
- Access to numerous events organised by the PĂ©pite oZer, the USMB entrepreneurship centre and its partners
- Access to the coworking space
- Access to the entrepreneurship course offered by the USMB
- Expert vouchers to meet a specialist
The student-entrepreneur diploma
Created to enhance your student-entrepreneur career, this diploma accompanies the status of student-entrepreneur with a personalized and dedicated academics qualification in entrepreneurship and project management. Favouring learning by doing, it is based on digital teaching resources. This diploma allows you to carry out your project with maximum security and visibility.
Who should attend? All students who have a business creation project, whatever its nature and stage of progress. The student-entrepreneur diploma (D2E) is mandatory for young graduates and for those who have completed their baccalaureate in order to benefit from student status and related advantages (grants, social security, access to housing, catering). It is compulsory for students at the end of their studies (L3 without continuation, M2, Doctorate).
What do you gain? All the advantages of the student-entrepreneur status with the added bonus of :
- Networking with players in the entrepreneurial ecosystem (support, financing)
- Access to numerous events organised by the PĂ©pite oZer, the USMB entrepreneurship centre and its partners
- Accommodation in a partner incubator, Savoie Technolac or Galiléo, with access to all its events
- Supervision by a teacher tutor in addition to a professional tutor
- An adjustment of studies: the possibility of substituting the entrepreneurial project for the internship or the final project
- Access to training courses offered by the USMB and its partners
- Access to the entrepreneurship course offered by the USMB
- Access to the coworking space
- Experts' afternoon
The entrepreneurial path
It is a semester of free training and coaching with speakers from the business world and specialists in project management, business planning, market research or individual coaching.
Who is it for? All students from baccalaureate to baccalaureate+8, with or without a personal project to create a company but with a real motivation and desire to undertake.
When does it take place? academics takes place over 6 months, on Thursday afternoons in 3-hour modules from September to January on the Bourget-du-Lac or Annecy campuses.
What do you get out of it? For one year:
- Networking with the actors of the entrepreneurial ecosystem allowing you to acquire skills and knowledge and to confirm your project
- Accommodation in a partner incubator, Savoie Technolac or Galiléo, with access to all its events
- Support for your project from the incubator's expert partners
- Access to the 15 workshops of the course led by experts in business creation.
Entrepreneurship events
Throughout the year, the PĂ´le Entrepreneuriat also offers numerous networking events, project support, entrepreneurship awareness and training. These events will help you to get started with your project or just to get an insight into the world of entrepreneurship.

- Shared lunches: An informal lunch between student-entrepreneurs and a professional for a special moment - Tuesdays or Thursdays (contact us)
- Pitch competition "PITCH LIVE", "Energy pitch": An opportunity to pitch an idea, a project in front of a jury of experts
- BarCamp breaks: from 12:00 to 14:00, a stand is set up in the various components to raise awareness of entrepreneurship among students and staff
