Research topics: My research aims to gain a better understanding of the impact of air permeability and ventilation on building thermal performance and indoor air quality. This work involves characterizing air permeability (building envelope, networks, interior walls), developing protocols to make this characterization more reliable, building databases and analyzing them. It also involves understanding their impact on building performance, through modeling and in situ experimentation. Finally, a major part of this work is aimed at developing methods for assessing building performance at the design stage, on delivery and over time.
