Territorial development and attractiveness - Asking the right questions!

November 16, 2020 2:00 PM - November 16, 2020 4:00 PM

The profound transformations that the tourism sector has undergone in recent years have paved the way for numerous questions about the very nature of tourism, its modalities and its repercussions. Efforts have focused mainly on adapting the tourism offer to demand, with the aim of better understanding the new expectations of customers looking for a tourism of experience, of life, reconnecting them to their environment; but also adapting to the means of information and building the stay of a multiform and evolving clientele.

This adaptation-based approach is no longer enough. The fragility of the sector, highlighted by the current crisis, the impact of tourism on the environment, on local populations, on the distribution of wealth across the territory, etc., all raise profound questions about tourism itself and its place in territorial development.

These fundamental questions call for multi-disciplinary and collective reflection between visitors, local residents, politicians and economic players in the tourism sector, where anticipation is the key word and collective action is essential!

They will testify:

KEY WORDS attractiveness, territorial development, service design, anticipation, predictive, co-construction, collective, R&D, collective, energy catalyst, etc.
