Bonjour à tous,
Salomé Sanchez, enseignante-chercheuse permanente au Pays-Bas (section 60) nous présentera ses travaux intitulés « Process-structure-property relationships and future directions in metal additive manufacturing » le Mardi 16 Juin à 12h15.
Voici un résumé de sa présentation:
Metal Additive Manufacturing (AM) offers unprecedented opportunities to tailor material properties, optimise component performance, and enable more sustainable manufacturing practices. This seminar explores the critical relationships between process parameters, microstructure evolution, and mechanical performance in metallic AM parts. The presentation will begin with research on Laser Powder Bed Fusion of Alloy 718, focusing on the influence of processing conditions and microstructural features on high-temperature creep behaviour. Building on these fundamental process–structure–property relationships, the seminar will then present Salomé’s current research directions aimed at enhancing the sustainability and societal impact of metal AM. Topics will include circular approaches for metal feedstock production and reuse, the valorisation of metal scrap into AM feedstocks, generative design for lattice structures, and the application of AM to humanitarian and sustainable development challenges. The seminar will conclude by highlighting potential opportunities for collaboration with SYMME, particularly in the areas of sustainable manufacturing and AM for societal impact.
