Scientific and Social Challenges

FRESBE aims to respond to 5 scientific and societal challenges:

 

• Gain a better understanding of the Habitat-Habitant-Energy Efficiency triptych to answer questions such as: "How can we combine construction, energy and virtuous behavior?
• Assess the impact of public policies in terms of renovation incentives and standards. Identify new and efficient synergies for energy-efficient building renovation. Carry out "socio-legal-economic" analyses of renewable energies (solar energy, geothermal energy, etc.).
• Develop a decision support system for improving building performance, taking into account multiple points of view and multiple criteria.
• Develop measurement systems linked to building energy efficiency, in response to data processing requirements and current technological advances.
• Manage and centralize feedback to fuel multidisciplinary research.
