European Master in Business Studies (EMBS)

The European Master in Business Studies (EMBS) is a two-year full-time Master’s degree in Management with focus on International Marketing.

EMBS is jointly run by four Universities located in four different European countries: the University of Savoie Mont Blanc (France), the University of Trento (Italy), the University of Kassel (Germany) and the University of León (Spain).

The EMBS is a master’s programme founded in 2007, which has been developed by four universities in Germany (the University of Kassel), France (Université Savoie Mont Blanc), Spain (University of Leon) and Italy (the University of Trento).

EMBS is composed of 4 semesters in 4 different European countries, representing a total of 120 ECTS, fully taught in English:
– Year 1 : Semester 1 in Italy / Semester 2 in France
– Year 2 : Semester 1 in Germany / Semester 2 in Spain

EMBS is officially integrated in the European Bologna system of higher education.

Its core advantage is that students experience international business practices first-hand as well as discussing them in class.

The EMBS experience goes beyond the master programme itself. Throughout their studies, EMBS students are able to develop a network of relationships with former EMBS students, professors and business people.

Each student actively builds their business career by learning to take their future into their own hands.

Visit the EMBS website for more information and to register.

Our European Master in Business Studies (EMBS) is EFMD-accredited.
EFMD programme accreditation is the most thorough system for business and management courses.

Objectives

Successful business management in Europe and abroad requires to train and develop the European managers of tomorrow by:

  • giving them all the tools and best practices to enable them to fit easily into international companies and feel at home in multicultural environments;
  • improving their skills in English as well as in other European languages;
  • offering a specific European professional curriculum.

Equipped with all these tools, EMBS gives you the opportunity to start your professional career. EMBS offers an international programme in European Business Management to small groups of students of various nationalities who learn to work and study together over a period of two years (in-take in September each year). EMBS courses are taught entirely in English and are based on a mixed teaching methodology (traditional lessons and case studies). Qualified faculty members and managers from European companies are involved in giving courses, seminars and workshops.

Career Building is a multi-stage and ongoing process. Our belief is that learning should reflect this aspect. That is why our students are given the opportunity to participate in activities that help them to work on their future career by:

  • The Annual EMBS Conference closely collaborating with companies through a Company Project
  • Attending seminars and conventions proposed by the programme
  • Learning to effectively and cohesively work in teams through the numerous group projects required by the programme
  • Taking part in company visits where they can interact with professionals
  • Engaging in direct contact with teachers who also work in international companies
  • Taking advantage of the career centres offered in the four universities
  • Taking part in intensive programme opportunities
  • Developing intercultural communication skills
