The projects of research are developed within the eight themes of research, themselves grouped in two axes:
- The Industrial Quality (IQ) axis gathers all the activities of research of the laboratory with the aim of developing and improving the design, manufacturing and inspection processes of manufactured products and in particular mechatronics.
- The Intelligent Materials, Structures and Instrumentation (MSII) axis includes all the activities of characterization, modeling, synthesis or design of new products such as materials with interesting physical properties, or mechatronic products meeting very specific needs.
