Le laboratoire n’est pas divisé en équipes comme c’est parfois le cas pour les laboratoires universitaires. Chaque membre peut travailler dans un ou plusieurs des thèmes de recherche suivants :
Functional organization
The laboratory is headed by a director, assisted by a deputy director, elected for 4 years from among the laboratory's teacher-researchers.
As far as possible, they carry out the decisions taken by the monthly Laboratory Council, or those taken by the annualGeneral StaffMeeting. They are assisted by the weekly Management Committee, and by various committees which meet as required.
Half-yearly Green Days enable all staff to take part in strategic discussions in a convivial atmosphere.
In addition, every 3 to 4 years, the laboratory receives advice from its Scientific Committee, made up of external personalities chosen and recognized for their expertise in the laboratory's scientific fields.
