The laboratory, given its positioning on activities with strong mechatronic connotations, is regularly solicited for generic problems of design and organization around mechatronics. It is therefore quite logical that Symme's historical cross-disciplinary activities, such as research on lean, have been reinforced, but also that complementary cross-disciplinary programmes on product lifecycle management or the study of industrial organisations with a mechatronic vocation have emerged. We therefore work on the dynamics of continuous improvement approaches, product lifecycle management, the study of "mechatronic" industrial organizations, human resources and information management in a collaborative context.
