Why this initiative?
The transition to green chemistry requires new knowledge, new skills, and new approaches to training. The bioeconomy, the circular economy, the use of renewable resources, more resource-efficient processes, and the decarbonization of industry: these transformations call for upskilling at all levels.
The Green Chemistry Academy is part of this initiative by supporting the training of future professionals, the development of career paths, and the promotion of a shared culture centered on green chemistry.
Our goal:
To attract: Introduce green chemistry, its challenges, its training programs, and its career paths to a wide range of audiences, from high school students to teachers, as well as the general public and career counselors.
Educate: Develop and promote training programs in green chemistry, encourage innovative teaching methods, strengthen ties between institutions, and better prepare students for scientific, technical, and industrial challenges.
Support: Supporting lifelong skills development in line with the needs of professionals, businesses, and industry trends.
A unique national consortium:
The Green Chemistry Academy is supported by a consortium comprising five French universities, competitiveness clusters, Centers of Excellence for Vocational Training and Qualifications, industry associations, and the French Chemical Society. This ecosystem facilitates the sharing of expertise, the coordination of initiatives on a national scale, and the strengthening of ties between education and the socio-economic sector.
