In order to face the increasing demand for radiation protection and continuously assess both conventional and radiological impacts on the environment, CERN developed and deployed a supervisory system, called REMUS – Radiation and Environment Monitoring Unified Supervision.
We will present the context and constrains of REMUS and will illustrate its specific capabilities such as continuous operation, runtime change of instruments and user interfaces as well as the use of modern streaming capabilities and industrial IoT.
