Sustainability & Innovation: Firms facing Global Challenges

This seminar will offer a dialogue between two experts in sustainability and innovation. They will discuss risks and opportunities of current sustainability challenges and their implications for firms.

They will highlight how to measure the different forms of innovations (Products, Processes, Organization and Marketing (PPOM)) and how innovations can create opportunities, with a particular focus on innovations with environmental benefits.

Both experts are members of COLIFRI France – Franco-Colombian Association of Researchers – and will take the opportunity to introduce the COLIFRI association, its activities, and the cooperation opportunities for Master students, Doctoral Students and Professors of Solar Academy.

Evelyne GROSS – International Accreditations and Sustainability Expert

Master in European Studies, Jagiellonski University (Poland) / Strasbourg University (France)

Evelyne GROSS has more than 10 years of international academic and professional experience in project management, management of continuous improvement processes (national and international accreditations AACSB & EFMD) and management of University Social Responsibility (USR) processes at a French Business School. She successfully managed 5 international accreditation/reaccreditation projects and 4 national accreditation/reaccreditation projects. She structured the University Social Responsibility (USR) policy based on the French “Label DD&RS” framework and the PRME expectations and guidance.

 

Her research activities focus on sustainability challenges, sustainable development strategies and social responsibility as well as measuring the sustainable impact of Higher Education Institutions. Her research projects focus on the comparison of the impact of sustainability actions implemented by French and Colombian Higher Education Institutions with the aim of highlighting opportunities for mutual learning and co-construction.

She has extensive international experience (studies and work experience in several European countries, year of International Development in Asia and Latin America) which allowed her to develop an international academic and professional network as well as to know and understand international sustainability challenges.

Dr. Fabrice GALIA – Researcher in Innovation and Organization

PhD in Economics from the University Panthéon-Assas Paris II

 

 

Dr. Fabrice GALIA has more than 20 years of international experience in research, teaching and management of pedagogical projects in Europe (France, UK, Germany, Spain and Italy), in Latin America (Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Uruguay) and in India. Through his international academic network, he has developed several international research projects on innovation.

 

 

His main research interests are the analysis of innovation and firm organization focusing on complementarities between forms of innovation; dynamics of innovation; management innovation; environmental innovations and obstacles to innovation in France, Europe, Colombia and Latin America.

He presented several papers at national and international conferences, which were published in international journals, including Research Policy, Technovation, Information Economics and Policy, International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Small Business, European Management Review and Journal of Productivity Analysis.
