Subject
The aim of this internship is to instrument a test machine for ultra-light tent fabrics under compression-torsion stress (displacement 0-300 mm, rotation 0-180°, frequency 1.5 Hz). The "mechanical" part will be operational at the beginning of the course. The device consists of 2 stepper motors coupled to two magnetic encoders. One of the motors drives a ball screw to ensure linear motion. The second actuates the torsion via a belt-and-pulley mechanism. These two motors must operate synchronously. The HMI will consist of
- a touch screen allowing the user to select the number of cycles, the frequency, indicate the number of cycles already completed, etc...,
- an ON OFF button
- a "pause" button;
- an emergency stop button.
Control via an Arduino board is envisaged.
Expected results: Fully operational experimental device installed in the company at the end of the course.
