CNFEDS missions

Since its creation, the CNFEDS has had the following missions:

  • academics initial and in-service training for teachers working with visually impaired and hearing impaired young people. As such, the CNFEDS is responsible for preparing :

-Certificat d'Aptitude au Professorat de l'Enseignement des Jeunes Sourds(CAPEJS), a state diploma;

-Certificat d'Aptitude à l'Enseignement Général des Aveugles et des Déficients Visuels(CAEGADV);

-Certificat d'Aptitude aux Fonctions de Professeur d'Enseignement Technique aux Aveugles et Déficients Visuels(CAFPETADV);

-Certificat d'Aptitude à l'Enseignement Musical des Aveugles et des Déficients Visuels(CAEMADV).

  • Research" , particularly in the areas of adapted teaching methods, the application of information and communication technologies, and the development and evaluation of materials and methods;
  • Gathering and distributing information on sensory impairments and CNFEDS' fields of activity. To this end, CNFEDS has its own publishing division, and produces the magazine Liaisons magazine, and has supported the creation of Acti'Mobsa fun, educational magazine on hearing impairment aimed at secondary school students and their teachers.
