A word from the Directorof the Doctoral School Cultures, Societies, Territories (CST)

Welcome to the Doctoral School website Cultures, Societies, Territories (DOCTORAL SCHOOL CST).

Doctoral School no. 633 " Cultures, Societies, Territories" (Doctoral School CST) is a multidisciplinary school that brings together USMB researchers working in six fields Research units around three scientific topics and their interactions:

      • 1. Culture in all its forms
      • 2. Societies and their changing face
      • 3. Territories, especially cross-border

It is attached to the Doctoral College ofuniversité Savoie Mont blanc (USMB).

The thematic scope ofDoctoral School CST covers 22 specialties.

The doctoral school has one overriding objective: the development and success of doctoral students:

  • - during their years of study, in their academics, the completion of the thesis, the day of the defense
  • - in their professional integration.
  •

This site reflects the image of the doctoral school: built first and foremost for doctoral students.

I invite you to browse through these pages and come back to them regularly. You'll find all the information you need on the organization and operation of your school, the procedures and steps involved in the doctorate and thesis defense, as well as a wealth of advice.

TheDoctoral School CST website is also invaluable for all those - USMB members, partners in the socio-economic ecosystem or academic partners at national and international level - who are committed to the success of doctoral students and the reputation of the USMB doctorate. In particular, it contains detailed, up-to-date information on the Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (Habilitation to Supervise Research).
