Free movie screenings: the big screen is waiting for you!
New for the year 2022-2023: starting in October, the USMB offers free monthly movie tickets valid in the Astrée and Forum cinemas in Chambéry and the Nemours in Annecy.
To benefit from it*, you just have to register via the forms below:
- Cinemas l'Astrée, le Forum in Chambéry : 90 places offered/month
- Cinéma les Nemours in Annecy : 45 seats offered/month
Need help choosing which film to see in October? Every month on the Student Space, find the news "Cinema - The selection of the month" with some hints on the nuggets to discover!
*Only one ticket per student per month. On the Friday following your registration, you will receive an email with the ticket stub to present at the cinema reception desk, along with your student ID. The vouchers distributed by the SVEC after registration are personal and valid once between the 1st and 31st of each month.
The Talent Award Competition
Each year, the university appeals to the artistic fibre of its student community by organizing the "Prix des Talents USMB" competition. The objective is to promote artistic practice among students. Through photography, painting, theater, dance, drawing, etc., each student can express his or her creativity and propose a creation for the contest. The works are then submitted to a jury and the student community for a vote in order to select the grand prize winner or winners.
For the 2021-2022 edition, Éléa Paraggio, a student in BUT GACO at the IUT in Chambéry, won the "Text/Image" category with her work "Reflet sentimental"; Clémence Dugousset, a student in BUT GACO, and Juliette Ly, a student in a psychology degree program, won the prize for the "Live Performance" category The awards ceremony was held on April 14 during the Art'iculation Festival.

Student cultural relays (ERC)
The mission of the student cultural relays (ERC) is to promote cultural activities for the student community. They provide information on the cultural offerings of students and participate in the organization of cultural activities on and off campus.
At the BU, in the CROUS cafeterias or in front of your lecture hall, you will probably see them passing by. Don't hesitate to talk to them to learn more about the cultural offer of the moment!
