DonOthèque Project L3 MC, Annecy, 2025

How can we make culture accessible to all students? How can we give books a second life by sharing them rather than letting them gather dust? Our idea: a free book donation box open to everyone. Novels, comics, manga, textbooks... anyone can take, deposit, and exchange books at will. Our goals: to encourage reading, create bonds between students, and promote the circular economy.

Take, drop off, share: culture at your fingertips!

Are you tired of seeing cigarette butts everywhere? So are we! Our project: to make the campus cleaner and raise awareness about the harmful effects of cigarette butts on the environment. A "Clean Day" on campus collected nearly 7,000 cigarette butts and saved the equivalent of 3,500,000 liters of water! Then, with our partner Tree-Clopes, we installed ashtrays at IAE: cigarette butts are collected and then recycled for energy recovery. This waste then becomes a resource!

Good habits are learned from an early age! That's why we decided to work with a primary school: the "eco-school" of Les Glaisins in Annecy-le-Vieux. The children went on a trip to the Parc des Glaisins to collect as much waste as possible, then returned to class for fun activities on eco-friendly habits: recycling, waste sorting, composting, quizzes, and more. It was a busy day, and at the end, the children received their "eco-school" diplomas!

"We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children": it was with this vision in mind that we contributed to the CSR initiative at Amazon's warehouse in Seynod. We had one ambition: to combine e-commerce and the environment, and three objectives: to improve the building's efficiency, optimize deliveries using electric vehicles, and raise employee awareness of sustainable development. At the end of this project, we realized that every improvement, even the smallest, represents real hope for the future. "Alone we go faster, together we go further!"

So you too can "collect, renovate, resell" and, thanks to our charity thrift store, say no to fast fashion and choose second-hand!

This year, our "Forum" event could not take place at the IAE due to the COVID crisis... So we came up with a digital forum: "Green For'Homme – There's no Planet B." Our videos illustrated in a powerful and entertaining way the many questions we asked ourselves: How can we live differently in Chambéry? How will we feed ourselves tomorrow? What if your car pollutes more than you think? How can we consume locally and fairly in the future? What is the hidden side of fast fashion and its alternatives?

Wondering what "buying local" means for modern consumers? We have the answer! We decided to look at consumer expectations in France, Brazil, and Sweden. We also examined changes related to the COVID-19 crisis, as well as the role of labels, which can sometimes be misleading!

When we talk about ecological transition, the cities of the Nordic countries make us dream, don't they? Soft and alternative mobility, healthy and local food, renewable energies, and buildings that produce more energy than they consume... What about our regions? What if the Chambéry metropolitan area was also at the forefront of the transition? Because today there are alternative ways to consume while taking care of the planet, we invite you to learn more in our video!

Do you have any idea how big the ecological footprint of your plate is? How much does agriculture contribute to the ecological footprint of France, Brazil, and Sweden? Agriculture and livestock farming contribute significantly to greenhouse gas emissions and deforestation. To reduce our ecological footprint, we can eat organic food, but also consume local, seasonal products and reduce our meat consumption.

What is the real impact of trade in the textile sector? And what are the alternatives? To understand the impact of fast fashion, we decided to trace the journey of a T-shirt across the globe. Is slow fashion an alternative? We took a close look at several brands, such as Zara, Asphalte, and Natural Peak, which offer more responsible alternatives.
