The faculty members at IAE Savoie Mont Blanc are primarily affiliated with the IREGE laboratory and enhance their teaching through high-level research work.
Since its creation, IAE Savoie Mont Blanc has been home to the Institute for Research in Management and Economics (IREGE), which brings together more than 100 members (faculty, doctoral students, and associate researchers) around the theme of Environmental Choices and Innovations and two interdisciplinary areas:
IREGE researchers continue their work in four main areas:
Teachers and researchers are actively involved in IAE programs, from bachelor's degrees to doctorates, sharing the latest research findings on key topics such as new business models, open and collaborative innovation, energy transition, new consumer experiences, and the attractiveness of tourism and regions.
The faculty members at IAE Savoie Mont Blanc also come from other laboratories: the Laboratory of Computer Science, Systems, Information and Knowledge Processing (LISTIC), the Laboratory of Systems and Materials for Mechatronics (SYMME), and the Laboratory of Languages, Literature, Societies, Cross-Border and International Studies (LLSETI), etc.
Lasting three years after obtaining a national master's degree, the doctorate in management sciences or economics constitutes the third cycle of higher education. Enrollment must be validated by the USMB doctoral school. It requires proof of excellent academic standing (including a research thesis) and the support of a researcher authorized to supervise research at IREGE, who will assist the candidate in obtaining funding for the entire duration of the thesis (3 years).

Led by Bérangère LEGENDRE, IREGE welcomes around sixty faculty members (including more than twenty professors and HDRs) and around twenty doctoral students working on the unifying theme of "Environmental Choices and Innovations," within two major multidisciplinary areas:
Environment, Sustainable Consumption, Tourism (ECDT): Energy transition and renewable energies, Sustainable consumption practices, Tourist behavior, Economic growth and inequalities.
Organizational Innovation and Development (IDO): Background and innovation processes, Economic, environmental, and societal performance of innovations, Entrepreneurship and Internationalization, Labor and human resources.
