Did you know that with the help of a health professional , you have a 70% greater chance of succeeding in quitting smoking? In November, on the occasion of Smoke-Free Month, the USMB Student Health Service offers free individual consultations with a tobacco specialist. Don't wait to make an appointment and put all the chances on your side to quit smoking!
These consultations are funded by the CVEC and the Caisse primaire d'assurance maladie (CPAM).
Julie Cachard, tobacco specialist and dietician, will meet you by appointment on Thursday, November 10 at the Student Health Service (building 12A) on the Bourget campus.
During the consultation, she will review your smoking profile with you and offer you appropriate support. She will also be able to give you nicotine substitutes that limit or even eliminate the effects of nicotine withdrawal (nervousness, irritability, difficulty concentrating, depressed mood, increased appetite, etc.). Little by little, the need to smoke will diminish until it disappears!
To make an appointment, nothing could be easier, just log on to https://prdv-savoie.grenet.fr
Smoking cessation kits are available from the Student Health Service and from the Student Health Advisors (ERS). You can also find many tools/advice from Tabac Infos Service or the Mois Sans Tabac website.
