Staff mobility

Did you know? Erasmus+ mobility programs are not just for students! At IAE, teaching, administrative, and technical staff, as well as doctoral students under contract, have the opportunity to participate in training or teaching mobility programs at a partner institution in Europe.

This experience allows participants to enrich their professional skills while discovering new working methods and developing a better understanding of educational practices at the European level. It also helps to strengthen the IAE's international outlook and encourage student mobility.

Beyond the professional benefits, this opportunity is also an excellent wayto improve your language skills and enjoy an enriching personal experience.

  • Training mobility (Erasmus+ STT: Staff Training Mobility): This involves participating in a training activity, internship, or observation within a company or higher education institution (including structured courses, language training, participation in a staff week, etc.).
  • Teaching mobility (Erasmus+ STA: Staff Mobility for Teaching Assignments): This involves delivering a minimum of 8 hours of classes integrated into the partner institution's curriculum. This mobility can take place in any academic field or discipline.
  • Combined teaching/training mobility (Erasmus+ STA/STT): This involves delivering a minimum of 4 hours of classes integrated into the partner institution's curriculum and spending the rest of the time in training. This mobility can take place in any academic field or discipline.

Please note: conferences are not eligible for staff mobility.

Teaching mobility – STA:

At a European partner university with which USMB/IAE has signed an Erasmus+ inter-institutional agreement. No teaching mobility can take place without the prior signing of an Erasmus agreement.

Training mobility – STT:

  • In a company as part of professional development activities: training or observation assignment
  • At a language center to improve your level.

NB: Unlike training mobility, it is not necessary to have an Erasmus inter-institutional agreement in order to undertake training mobility.

Mobility can last from 2 days to 2 months. Currently, the funding granted by USMB for the stay portion is a maximum of 4 days on site + 1 day of travel compensation. A green mobility allowance may be granted in addition for the use of eco-friendly transportation.

NB: The duration of funding is adjusted annually based on the number of applications and the available budget. Find more details about funding on the USMB website.
