Basket

Dribbling and scoring

Basketball, played either in 5 VS 5 on the Annecy and Le Bourget campuses, or in 3 VS 3 on the Jacob campus, is a team sport combining technical, physical and tactical qualities.

 

 

- Semester teaching cycle
- Compulsory weekly attendance at academics .
- Course duration 2H per week
- 12 sessions per semester

- Equipment required: balls and chasubles are on loan.
- Correct clothing suitable for basketball is required, as well as clean basketball shoes for specific use in the gym.
- In the event of injury, attendance is mandatory.
- 3×3 basketball: all levels are accepted, but work will be differentiated according to level, and teams will be formed accordingly.
- Each class is built around a common warm-up, followed by small-group work and full-court or ½-court play, depending on the theme.
- Basket 5×5: no beginners, you must have played or be playing in a club, for homogeneous and mixed teams.
- Each class is built around a common warm-up, followed by themed work (technical and tactical) and a 5×5 tournament.

3×3 basketball:
- Practice assiduously to aim for anticipation, variation and adaptation of motor responses,
- Be able to link training and match performance.
- Adapt collectively to the level of your teammates and/or opponents.
- Know how to warm up for safe practice
- Be able to referee matches.
- Self-knowledge: my strengths and weaknesses.
- Methodology: organize yourself collectively to set objectives and stick to them.
- Teamwork: status, positions and roles, developing a strategy (analyzing, proposing, participating).
5×5 basketball:
- Practice assiduously, manage your efforts to complete the training session.
- Adapt collectively to the level of your teammates and/or opponents.
- Know how to warm up for safe practice.
- Be able to referee matches. Keep a simple game sheet.
- Be able to coach a team in a tournament.
- Self-knowledge: my strengths and weaknesses.
- Methodology: organize yourself collectively to set match objectives and stick to them.
- Teamwork: status, positions and roles, developing offensive and defensive strategy (analyze, propose, participate).

- Evaluation of refereeing throughout the semester.
- Assessment of technical mastery of the activity: passing, dribbling, shooting, etc.
- 3×3 matches: evaluation of choices made in the game according to the positioning of partners and opponents (game reading).
- 5×5 matches: motor evaluation over the last 2 sessions. Express yourself at different levels (either homogeneous teams, or homogeneous but heterogeneous teams).
- evaluation of choices made in attack by the ball carrier, proposals made by the non-ball carrier.
- In defense: defensive impact on the ball carrier and defensive assistance on non-ball carriers.
- Match results: victory, defeat, score and difference, more as additional information than points.
- Bonus actions: interceptions, rebounds, counter-attacks, physical commitment.
