Swimming for escape

Sport swimming with 2 x 25 m lanes at the Chambéry aqualudic center.

 

 

Semester teaching cycle
Regular weekly attendance compulsory (assessed).
Classes of 1H or 1H30 per week.

Swimsuit, hat and goggles compulsory.
Respect pool rules.
Classes are supervised, with specific progressive training for each session, depending on the session's objective and the student's level.

Activity-specific skills:
Advanced and expert swimmers:
- Swim at optimum speed as efficiently as possible, seeking the best performance in terms of propulsion, breathing, balance and coordination, mainly in crawl.
- Improve various swimming techniques by performing the various exercises proposed.
- Master the various motor actions involved in getting into action: dives, starts and sequences, as well as changes of direction (turns and restarts).

Beginner swimmers:
- Transform spontaneous motor skills to master aquatic motor actions.
- Engage without apprehension to move in the aquatic environment.
- Immerse without buoyancy aids or support.
- Coordinate breathing and propulsion to swim.

Methodological skills :
Confirmed and expert swimmers:
- Make a clear commitment to the activity.
- Know your level at the start of the cycle and improve it in 2 strokes (confirmed swimmers) or 4 strokes (expert swimmers).
- Know your crawl index and how it evolves with training.
- Distribute your effort.
- Know the technical elements that will help you improve your swimming index.

Beginner swimmers :
- Move from vertical to horizontal balance
- Know the technical elements that will help improve propulsion, mainly in 1 stroke.

Social skills :
- Respect operating rules (relating to circulation within the water line).
- Respect others.
- Respect hygiene rules.
- Respect safety rules.

Advanced and expert swimmers:
Evaluation of performance and motor skills in a time swimming event.
Evaluation of performance and motor skills in a speed swimming event.
Assessment of learning, with respect for rules and regulations and for safety throughout the session.

Beginner swimmers:
Assessment of ventral and dorsal motor skills over a predetermined distance.
Assessment of learning, with respect for rules and safety throughout the sessions.
