The monthly course "A Summer in the Alps" is primarily intended for people who want to quickly develop their French language skills by immersing themselves in a French-speaking cultural environment, surrounded by lakes and mountains.
In addition to classes, Accents offers you the opportunity to participate in cultural and sporting activities.
The PACKAGE option allows you to register for courses in June and July, cultural and sports activities, and accommodation for the duration of the courses.
Course organization:
- 45 hours of intensive French language classes, or 15 hours per week over 3 weeks
- Classes Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- In person on the campus of the University of Savoie Mont Blanc in Chambéry (Jacob-Bellecombette)
- Sessions in June and July
- Group of 10 to 18 students
Course contents:
French language courses cover five levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), from A1 to C1, and enable students to develop the four skills of the French language (listening comprehension, reading comprehension, speaking, and writing).
In each session, you will study part of a CEFR level.
Each validated session earns 4 ECTS credits.
Cultural, leisure, and sporting activities to help you discover the region: excursions to Annecy, Geneva, Chamonix, hiking, traditional games, trips to the lake... there's something for everyone! Sample program
Accommodation: In partnership with CROUS, Accents reserves accommodation in a residence in the center of Chambéry for the entire duration of the course. Example of accommodation

Price: €500 per session in summer 2026
This price includes:
– 45 hours of lessons
– Photocopies of course activities
This price does not include (non-exhaustive list):
– Accommodation, meals, and any other personal expenses;
– Registration for cultural and sporting activities;
– Mandatory personal liability insurance.
Refugees and asylum seekers are eligible for a 50% discount on courses upon presentation of valid proof of status.
SUMMER PACKAGE DATES: June 1 to July 17, 2026
Price: €1,800
This rate includes:
-Summer courses: 6 weeks of classes, or 90 hours of intensive French language classes, or 45 hours per session (x2)
-Accommodation: 7 weeks in a university residence in Chambéry (single rooms - CROUS residence) Stay possible from May 29 to July 20, 2026

-Cultural and sporting activities to discover Chambéry and the surrounding area of our beautiful region (e.g., excursions and visits to Annecy, Geneva, Chamonix, cruise on Lake Bourget, hiking, traditional games, beach trips to the lake, etc.).
NB: There is a one-week break in classes in the middle of the stay: no classes from June 22 to 26, 2026.
Refugees and asylum seekers are not eligible for discounts under this option.
Once you have completed the registration form, to finalize your registration you will need to send:

- confirmation of payment of the full registration fee
- a copy of your ID card/passport
- a copy of your most recent diploma ( minimum high school diploma or university degree) translated into French if the language is different from English or a Latin language
- if you are a refugee or asylum seeker, valid proof of status
Upon arrival, you must subscribe to:
- personal liability insurance valid for the duration of the training
- home insurance (for the Package option)
