WHO CAN APPLY FOR VALIDATION OF ACQUIREMENTS (VAE and VAPP)?

Validation of prior learning is open to all:
- Employees, whatever their status (permanent, fixed-term, temporary...),
- Non-salaried workers (members of the liberal professions, farmers, craftsmen, shopkeepers, self-employed workers, etc.),
- Civil servants (with or without tenure),
- Jobseekers (with or without benefits),
- Volunteers with associative or trade-union experience,
- Anyone, with or without recognized qualifications.

VAE ATUNIVERSITÉ SAVOIE MONT BLANC

Validation des Acquis de l'Expérience is defined in the Loi de Modernisation Sociale n°2002-73 of January 17, 2002, decree n°2013-756 of August 19, 2013.

It enables you to take into account your professional and/or social and personal experience to obtain all or part of a diploma.
You can only submit one VAE application per year, for the same diploma.
If you are applying for different diplomas, you are limited to 3 applications per year.

Validation of Acquired Experience is :
- a right enshrined in Book IX of the French Labor Code and in the French Education Code;
- an official recognition of skills acquired through experience, a procedure for verifying, assessing and attesting your knowledge and skills, by an independent jury made up of teachers-researchers and professionals.

VAPP AT THEUNIVERSITÉ SAVOIE MONT BLANC

Validation of professional and personal experience is defined in the French Higher Education Act of January 26, 1984, and Decree no. 85-906 of August 23, 1985.

The VAPP enables you to gain access to a level of academics for which you would not be eligible on the basis of the diplomas you already hold.
The VAPP unit offers assistance to help you access the information you need to resume your studies. It also aims to provide you with the tools you need to make the most of your experience and skills, as part of the dossier you submit to the pedagogical committee.
