What conditions must be met?
You must be able to prove that you have been involved, continuously or otherwise, for a cumulative period of one year in salaried, unsalaried or voluntary activities directly related to the diploma in question.
The skills that can be validated are all the professional and/or social and personal skills and knowledge acquired as a result of these activities.
How do you target your qualification?
If you don't know which certification to aim for, you can contact the advisors at various organizations with a general career information and guidance mission (known as "Points Relais"): Pôle Emploi, CIO, Service Universitaire d'Information et d'Orientation, CIDJ, Missions Locales, Points academics, Points Emploi, CIBC, etc.
The advisor will provide you with information and advice on VAE and the regulations governing diplomas, titles and certificates of qualification.
If you know what type of certification you wish to obtain, you must contact the institution or organization that issues it directly to initiate its own VAE procedure.

At the USMB, VAE juries meet twice a year, in May/June (submission of skills file by April 15) and December (submission of skills file by October 31).
The USMB's Validation of Acquired Experience (VAE) program does not validate blocks of skills. However, the VAE process does enable a number of ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) credits to be obtained.

This fee does not include the diploma registration fee or any academics fees for repeat studies in the event of partial validation.
If you are an employee, you can ask your employer to cover the cost of VAE as part of the academics plan, or through your employer's skills operator (OPCO).
You can also ask your employer for a 24-hour "VAE leave" to work on your VAE file and attend the interview with the jury.

In any case, we strongly advise you to find out as soon as possible about funding for your VAE. Indeed, the average response time is 2 months, which puts off your commitment to the VAE procedure.
Information on registration and tuition fees academics
The cost of VAE services atUniversité Savoie Mont Blanc is payable regardless of the jury's decision (refusal to validate, partial validation, full validation).
This price does not include registration fees or any charges from academics.
Registration fees are payable after the interview with the jury, when you submit your application.
After partial validation of the diploma, candidates wishing to enroll at the University to obtain the missing units will have to pay a fee of academics, in addition to the VAE and enrolment fees, calculated in proportion to the missing units.
