OBJECTIVES OF THE ACADEMICS :
To address the legal fundamentals of child protection, which constitute Level I:
- The basics of parentage law;
- The essentials of administrative and judicial child protection;
- The practical application of children's rights;
- Knowledge of the different legal aspects of child abuse;
- Legal aspects of adoption;
- The approach to the different responsibilities (administrative, criminal, civil, disciplinary) in the context of social work;
- An update of knowledge in family law.
Addressing the complementary elements that are now indispensable, which constitute level II:
- Management of interventions;
- The organisation of follow-up for children and families;
- The sociology of families;
- Child protection institutions and professionals;
- Situation analyses.

The academics corresponds to 120 hours of teaching spread over two parts over two academic years. The situational analyses constitute a research process that leads to the production of a dissertation and a public presentation at a forum.
Level I corresponds to a cycle of academics which leads to a certificate of completion. It is followed by level II.
Level I + Level II constitute the University Diploma.
ORGANIZATION:
- The academics is carried out in parallel with your job, in days of academics which can be grouped in sessions of several days.
- The courses are taught on the one hand by a team of teacher-researchers from the University of Savoie, and on the other hand by recognised expert professionals: magistrates, psychologists, managers and social workers, etc., coordinated by theENSEIS of Savoie.
ADMISSION :
- The required levels of previous academics are at least those of a Level 5 State Diploma in Social Work or any equivalent qualification;
- Proof of professional experience in the field of childhood.

EVALUATION OF CANDIDATES :
The University Diploma awarded is at Bac+4 level.
The level of recruitment of candidates at academics is based on a double requirement:
- at least a state diploma or a national diploma (Bac+2)
- have proven professional experience.
This level of the University Diploma requires trainees to carry out genuine research, which leads to the production of a dissertation to be submitted and defended publicly before a jury at a forum attended by academics, professionals, funders and interested parties.
The written document is marked out of 20 with a coefficient of 2. The oral presentation is marked out of 20 with a coefficient of 1.
