Cover the legal fundamentals of child protection, which constitute Level I:

  • The basics of parentage law;
  • The essentials of administrative and judicial child protection;
  • The practical application of children's rights;
  • Knowledge of the various legal aspects of child abuse;
  • Legal aspects of adoption;
  • Approach to different responsibilities (administrative, criminal, civil, disciplinary) in the context of social work;
  • A refresher course in family law.

Covering the essential complementary elements that make up Level II:

  • Intervention management;
  • Organizing follow-up for children and families;
  • The sociology of families;
  • Child protection institutions and professionals;
  • Situation analysis.

The academics corresponds to 120 hours of teaching divided into two parts spread over 2 academic years. Situational analyses constitute a research process that culminates in the production of a dissertation and a public presentation at a forum.
Level I corresponds to a academics cycle, leading to a certificate of completion. This is followed by Level II.

Level I + level II make up the University Diploma.

ORGANIZATION :

  • academics is run in parallel with your job, on academics days, which can be grouped into multi-day sessions.
  • The courses are taught by a team of teacher-researchers from the Université de Savoie, and by recognized professional experts: judges, psychologists, managers and social workers, coordinated byENSEIS Savoie.

ADMISSION :

  • The minimum level required from academics is a level 5 Diplôme d'Etat de travail social or equivalent qualification;
  • Proof of professional experience in the children's field.

ASSESSMENT OF CANDIDATES :

The University Diploma awarded is at Bac+4 level.

The level of recruitment of candidates for academics is based on a dual requirement:

  • at least a state diploma or national diploma Bac+2
  • proven professional experience.

This level of University Diploma requires trainees to undertake genuine research, culminating in the production of a dissertation, which is submitted to a jury for a public presentation at a forum attended by academics, professionals, funders and interested members of the public.
The written document is graded out of 20, with a coefficient of 2. The oral presentation is graded out of 20, with a coefficient of 1.
