Two types of employment contract govern the academics of a work-study employee: the apprenticeship contract and the professionalization contract.
They enable the company to recruit future employees and promote their professional integration. Both contracts also entitle companies to a range of grants and exemptions from social security contributions.
While the 2 contracts have a number of points in common (salary calculated on the basis of the SMIC, work-study scheme, grants), the choice of work-study contract has different application procedures.
