BU Bourget

The BU du Bourget-du-lac's collections (around 45,000 volumes and 100 periodical titles) are organized around two main areas of acquisition, corresponding to the courses taught on campus:

Science and technology :

  • Computing and mathematics
  • Physics - chemistry
  • Earth, life and environmental sciences
  • Materials science, packaging, civil and building engineering

Sports and SHS :

  • Geography and planning
  • Sport and health
  • Humanities and Social Sciences
  • Languages
  • Economics and management
  • Career guidance

Competition funds are available in the following disciplines: physics-chemistry, mathematics, geography and planning, sports and health.

Relaxing collections

To help you take a break from your studies or research, BU offers a range of leisure collections to complement those corresponding to the disciplines taught at the university.

They offer: comic books, DVDs, mangas, novels, a press area (news and general information newspapers, magazines...), documents to borrow or read on site in the relaxation areas.

Located on the ground floor of the BU du Bourget.

  • Topographical and geological maps of the world (Chile, Indonesia, Nepal, Switzerland...)
  • Satellite and aerial photographs

How does it work?

Most documents can be borrowed. Some rare or fragile items must be requested from the librarians and can only be consulted on site.

Use the address cartotheque[at]univ-smb.fr for :

  • Reserve cards for TDs (card-carrying cases are available for teachers)
  • Reserve the map library
  • Suggest purchases
