Registration is required to borrow documents and access digital resources. It is open to everyone and valid in all three USMB libraries.
You are automatically registered with the university libraries for the current academic year. Your student card serves as your library card.
Registration is free (professional proof required if you are not listed in the USMB directory). It is valid for the current academic year. You will be issued a library card, which must be presented each time you borrow an item.

You will be issued with a library card to present each time you borrow an item, as well as login details allowing you to access the library's computers and digital resources on site (except Lexis360, which requires an institutional address) and some of the remote resources, for strictly personal use.
- Registration is subject to a fee (€34) and is valid for one year from the date of registration.
Registration is free if you are in one of the following situations:
- High school students
- Students from connected campuses for which USMB is the local university (Bourg-Saint-Maurice, Faverges-Seythenex, Évian-les-Bains)
- Students in higher education programs that have a partnership agreement or arrangement with USMB (IFSI, Ecole by CCI Haute-Savoie)
- Students enrolled in French public higher education institutions
- Interns at USMB
- Retirees of the USMB
- Teachers, teacher-researchers, and researchers at French public higher education institutions
- Teachers in the National Education System
- Staff of the Local Center for University and School Works of Savoie and Haute-Savoie
- Job seekers, recipients of minimum social benefits (Solidarity Allowance for the Elderly, Adult Disability Allowance, Active Solidarity Income)
