Contents: digital library giving free access to the digitized heritage collections of the Bibliothèque nationale de France and its partners (learned societies, Institut national d'histoire de l'art, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, École des mines, Banque de France, Insee, etc.).

Gallica allows you to consult documents in the public domain, mostly published before 1940, but also under copyright, mostly in French. Manuscripts from the Merovingian and Carolingian periods are available for consultation.
