The Annecy University Institute of Technology offers nine Bachelor's degrees in Technology (BUT) in secondary and tertiary education.
Opting for a BUT (bac+3, third-year courses include most professional bachelor's degrees) gives you the opportunity toenter the workforce immediately or continue your studies. The institution also offers seven professional bachelor's degrees (one year of study, 60 ECTS) and university diplomas (DU).
Professional experience is developed through numerous professional situations. Projects are a key part of our training programs (600 hours). Students are asked to respond to a request made by a company or organization.
With the same goal of professional development in mind, we invite you to explore the internship and job opportunities offered by various companies. For further information, please contact us.
BUT also provides the opportunity to pursue further studies at different levels:
Engineering schools
business schools
university (master's degree)
Initial training is the most traditional option, allowing you to benefit from student status. Courses and internships are reinforced by professional activities in the field.
This option is for students who wish to gradually transition into the world of work.
These are students who finance their own studies.
Work-study programs are a type of training that allows students to obtain a BUT (university technical degree) or a professional bachelor's degree by alternating between classes at the IUT (university institute of technology) and periods at the company with which an apprenticeship or professional training contract has been signed. Work-study students are employees of the host company.
You are or want to be an employee and wish to develop or enhance your skills. The BUT work-study program is a training course with a bright future. All indicators are green for this option to be an excellent choice, which in no way excludes further study!
SINCE 2023-2024, MOST PROFESSIONAL LICENSES HAVE INCORPORATED THE BUT
Candidates from other programs may be admitted to a BUT program via transfer after their applications have been reviewed and it has been verified that they meet the prerequisites for admission.
Work-study programs are carried out in collaboration with various partners, depending on their specialty, as part of a professional training contract or an apprenticeship contract. Work-study students are employees of the host company.
You must have a high school diploma.
The Sport-Etudes sections are aimed at high-level athletes (minimum pre-national level) who are affiliated with sports federations.
The Music-Studies sections are intended for high-level artists (members of a conservatory, music school, dance school, etc.).
The BUT is obtained in four years instead of the usual three. Special educational support is provided by a dedicated Director of Studies.
