academics Gestion des Entreprises et des Administrations is designed to train future managers to master management techniques (accounting, management control, finance and treasury, management information systems, taxation, human resources, marketing), and to adapt to changes in the legal, technological, economic and social environment, and to draw the consequences for their professions.
In BUT GEA at the IUT d'Annecy, we combine theory and practice in each of our courses, with learning and assessment situations (SAE) such as setting up and taking over an organization, taking part in an eloquence competition, preparing for the TOEIC and competitive exams, and creating business games.

The GEA department also places great importance on developing the professionalism of its students, thanks in particular to the role-playing exercises
which they are put through.

or to study abroad.

International:
Students are prepared for the TOEIC exam in BUT 2. They can then spend semester 5 (BUT 3 ) abroad.

THE ACADEMICS INITIAL
The BUT GEA program includes 600 hours of tutored projects and 22 to 26 weeks of internships over the 3 years of study. This corresponds to 9 months of academics in a professional context.

The BUT GEA is the culmination of a three-year course of study preparing students for positions of leadership and responsibility in the field of management.
After a common first year, students choose a course to follow in BUT 2 and BUT 3.
We offer our students a completeacademics by opening up the 4 courses to initial academics from the 2nd year onwards, and to sandwich courses from the 3rd.

Preparing for the DSCG enables students to progressively acquire advanced skills in a wide range of fields: business law, administrative and accounting management, corporate organization and management, finance, management information systems, auditing, taxation, management control, etc.
Target professions
Client portfolio manager in a chartered accountancy firm, administrative and financial director, financial controller, management controller, auditor, etc.

DSCG preparation
At IUT Chambéry (DSCG1 for UE2, 4, 6 and 7)

Admission
Holders of the Diplôme de Comptabilité et de Gestion (DCG) or any other diploma giving equivalence with the DCG are required. It can be taken under a professional training contract, an apprenticeship contract, a academics continuing education contract or a professional training period.
Enrolment is possible for optional UEs (single or combined DSCG1 and DSCG2, e.g. for employees on a academics continuing education contract).
