Retraction Watch is a platform that analyzes retractions of scientific articles and comments on topics related to scientific integrity.

Over the years, Retraction Watch has shown that article retractions are much more common than previously thought, often without anyone noticing.

Following an agreement between The Center for Scientific Integrity (CSI) and Crossref, the Retraction Watch database is becoming a public, open-access resource. The goal of this agreement between the two organizations is to combine and publicly distribute data on tens of thousands ofretracted research articles (currently nearly 43,000). It allows access to the data and enables publishers to register their retraction notices directly with Crossref.
