Retraction Watch is a platform that analyzes retractions of scientific articles and comments on topics related to scientific integrity.
Over the years, Retraction Watch has shown that article retractions are far more frequent than previously thought, and often go unnoticed.
Following an agreement between The Center for Scientific Integrity (CSI) and Crossref, the Retraction Watch database has become an open access public resource. The agreement between the two organizations aims to combine and publicly distribute data on tens of thousands of retracted research articles (currently around 43,000), enabling access to the data as well as the registration by publishers of their retraction notices directly with Crossref.
