Socle Interministériel de Logiciels Libres (SILL)

The Socle Interministériel de Logiciels Libres (SILL) is a reference catalog of recommended free software for the French administration.

Maintained by the Direction Interministérielle du Numérique (DINUM), it aims to encourage the adoption of open-source solutions to reduce dependence on proprietary software, guarantee interoperability and ensure the security of digital tools used in administrations.

SILL lists software covering a wide range of needs: operating systems (Linux, Ubuntu, Debian), office software (LibreOffice, Thunderbird), development (Git, PostgreSQL, Python), collaboration and security (Jitsi, Nextcloud, OpenSSH). It serves as a reference for public servants, pointing them to reliable, supported solutions for their work.
