PREREQUISITES

Admission is selective and is based on an application (covering letter and CV including initial and continuing training and professional experience). HANDICAP ACCESSIBILITY :

MODULE 1 (6 DAYS)
This module consists of 3 sessions of 2 days each:

The first module includes a brief introduction to behavioral and cognitive therapies, followed by a presentation of the neurological, biological, psychological and social aspects of addiction. General information on therapeutic management is followed by a presentation of the "transformational" model, specific to the field of addiction. The classification and effects of the various psychotropic substances are then discussed.
The second part of Module 1 covers motivational interviewing. More specifically, a definition of motivational interviewing according to Miller and Rollnick will be given, followed by a theoretical approach to motivational interviewing, including a presentation of the different stages of change and the style of the interviewer that corresponds to them. The various techniques of motivational interviewing will be reviewed, along with its limitations. The integration of motivational interviewing (emotional aspects) into therapy, as well as the first interview and brief intervention, will be presented and discussed.
The third part of the module represents the practical application of the various techniques covered in Module 1.

1. Neuro-Biology (2 days) :

  • Neurobiopsychosocial aspects of addiction.
  • Introduction to CBT.
  • Different products Addictive behaviors.

2. Motivational (2 days) :

  • Welcome, motivational work and brief interventions.
  • Transformational model.

3. Practice analysis (2 days) :

  • Situational testing and analysis (motivational interviews and brief interviews).

CONTENTS OF MODULE 2 (6 DAYS)
This module comprises 3 sessions of 2 days each:

The second module includes an introduction to withdrawal and drug treatments for addictions. Participants will learn about harm reduction and risk reduction, followed by strategies for maintaining action:

  • Mourning/separation process.
  • Managing emotions in life situations
  • Preventing relapse
  • Work on cravings and/or behavioral and cognitive slippages.
  • Detect and act on high-risk situations

The second part focuses on emotions and stress management. Participants will learn how to identify emotions, reduce emotional suffering and emotional vulnerability, and stabilize patients. They will learn stress management techniques, including cardiac coherence.
The third part of the module is devoted to putting into practice the various techniques covered in Module 2.

4. Action and maintenance of change (2 Days) :

  • Withdrawal and drug treatments for addictions.
  • Harm reduction, mourning/separation process.
  • Strategies to keep the action going.
  • Cognitive, behavioral and emotional relapse process.

5. Managing emotions (2 days) :

  • Functional analysis, reduction of suffering and emotional vulnerability.
  • Schema therapy.
  • Stress and cardiac coherence.

6. Practice analysis (2 days) :

  • Situation analysis (maintaining action and managing emotions).

CONTENTS OF MODULE 3 (6 DAYS)
This module comprises 3 sessions of 2 days each:

The first part of Module 3 focuses on learning how to communicate more effectively. Participants will teach their patients how to communicate in a win/win situation. They will practice with them exercises for saying no, and for dealing with manipulation, aggression or violence. They will help them become aware of their own resources in the face of conflict or disagreement.
The second part deals with resilience. A definition of resilience will be given, followed by the identification of the factors and mechanisms of a resilient person. Self-esteem will be discussed, along with its role and importance. Assessment of resilience through the 6 competency zones will be presented. Participants will learn how their patients can transfer these different skills in difficult situations and situate themselves in relation to the notions of defensive pessimism and strategic optimism.
The third part of the module represents the practical application of the different techniques seen in module 3.

7. Interviews and communication (2 days) :

  • Self-affirmation, social anxiety, responding to manipulation.
  • Personality disorders.

8. Resilience (2 days) :

  • Self-esteem, skills, strategic optimism and defensive pessimism.
  • Building resilience.
  • Co-dependency, integrating loved ones into therapy.

9. Practice analysis(2 days) :

  • Case studies and analysis (social anxiety and resilience).
  • Body approaches and group techniques.

CONTENTS OF MODULE 4 (2 DAYS)
This module consists of a 2-day session:

The fourth module is devoted to behavioral addictions such as gambling; pathological gambling / Cyber addiction; online gambling; sex / chat / blogging; compulsive shopping; eating disorders (anorexia / bulimia); work / sport / and emotional and sexual addictions.
The treatment of ADHD (Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder) will be addressed, and various psychotherapeutic approaches will be presented, including ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and HEXAFLEX.

RYTHM :

academics begins in August of the current calendar year.
Each module is structured around several days (Fridays and Saturdays). The practical days are used to deepen or develop the methodological approach.
