GitHub

GitHub is a web-based hosting and management service for software development, using Git version management software.

This service offers paid professional accounts, as well as free accounts for free software projects.

GitHub enables tech teams to store and modify code for all their projects (software, computer programs, website development, mobile applications, etc.). Developers can share their projects publicly (open source code), so that other professionals can contribute to development.

The site also provides access control and collaborative features such as bug tracking, feature requests, task management and a wiki for each project. The site has become the world's largest code repository, used as both a public repository for open-source projects and a private repository for companies.
