Istex is the largest repository of standardized scientific archives serving French research for documentary and TDM use, helping to advance research and content mining tools.

The main aim of the ISTEX project is to provide the entire higher education and research community with online access to retrospective collections of scientific literature in all disciplines, by initiating a national policy of massive documentation acquisition: journal archives, databases, text corpora, etc.
