Tropy

Tropy is software for organizing iconographic collections.

It allows you to classify them, add metadata, take notes, and transcribe photographed documents.

The Tropy software allows structured metadata and tags to be applied to these research materials in order to organize and utilize them in an optimal way. It was designed by the Roy Rosenzweig Center for History and New Media (Virginia, United States), which specializes in digital humanities and has developed other software such as Zotero and Omeka.

It is recommended for researchers in history, art history, or archaeology, and for anyone who handles large collections of archives, photographs, manuscripts, letters, museum pieces, archaeological finds, or architectural artifacts.
