Tropy

Tropy is a software program for organizing iconographic collections.

It can be used to classify documents, add metadata, take notes or transcribe photos.

Tropy software enables structured metadata and markers to be applied to these research materials, enabling them to be optimally organized and exploited. It was designed by the Roy Rosenzweig Center for History and New Media (Virginia, USA), which specializes in digital humanities and is behind other software such as Zotero and Omeka.

It is recommended for researchers in history, art history or archaeology, and for anyone handling large collections of archives, photographs, manuscripts, letters, museum works, archaeological or architectural pieces.
