OBJECTIVES :

  • Develop the knowledge base in human motor sciences.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES :

  • Update your knowledge of functional assessment and management of common pathologies.

    - Set up an experimental protocol and collect relevant data quickly and simply.

ORAL PRESENTATION (10 HOURS)

PUBLICS :

  • State-certified physiotherapists.
  • Osteopaths D.O.
  • Sports physicians (DESC, Capacité and/or DU), Physical and Rehabilitation Physicians.
  • D.E. chiropodists
  • Medical and paramedical professions.
  • Trainers/Physical trainers/Sports teachers with STAPS and/or Jeunesse et Sport qualifications.

PREREQUISITES :

This academics is open to holders of one of the above-mentioned diplomas, or their equivalent in foreign countries (registration authorization subject to commission).
For D.O. osteopaths: please provide an Adelie number.

TERMS OF ENTRY :

Access to academics is limited to 15 places. Each candidate must complete and submit an application file (motivation, objectives and experience), which will be submitted to a commission to validate enrolment.

HANDICAP ACCESSIBILITY :

RYTHM :

academics can be taken over 1 or 2 years.
It is possible to take one or more modules à la carte, and/or capitalize on them to obtain the DU over a maximum of 2 years.

ORGANIZATION :

The academics course, divided into 3 modules, runs from January to June, with a final exam scheduled for October/November.

It is based on theoretical and practical courses taught by research professors specializing in human motricity and professionals in the field of manual therapy.

Equivalence possible on certain courses for holders of a CEC in sports physiotherapy from the SFMKS for less than 5 years.

ASSESSMENT AND AWARD PROCEDURES :

No assessment per module. Assessment will take the form of a written report (70%) and an oral presentation in French (30%) in line with the trainee's professional profile e.g. podiatrist, fitness trainer, etc. Consult the specifications for writing the dissertation (page 11 of the pdf document).

SPECIFIC FEATURES OF ACADEMICS AND METHODS USED:

  • Complementarity of contributors: Doctors, physiotherapists, researchers, field workers.
  • The academics schedule has been adjusted to allow the employee to continue working.
  • Possibility of publishing the dissertation as a scientific article in Mains Libres magazine for the class valedictorian.
  • Interest and specialization in the practical application of research findings in the following fields:1/ Health: diagnosis, prevention and rehabilitation of chronic ankle instability, knee instability and shoulder pain.
    2/ Sport: objectivation and monitoring of upper and lower limb strength-velocity-power profiles, decision-making for return to the field.
    3/ MSD prevention in industrial environments.
