academics objectives :
Based on a multidisciplinary approach, the aim of this academics program is to provide a better understanding of methods for clear, reliable diagnosis, using appropriate tools.
After a general presentation of current recommendations on ADHD, the methodology for categorical diagnosis and differential diagnosis will be explored in depth, with a focus on clinical reasoning. Secondly, detailed and concrete illustrations of frequent ADHD differentials will be presented: autism spectrum disorder, borderline personality and bipolar disorders.
Finally, the pharmacological strategy for adult ADHD will be presented, so that every clinician can understand the ins and outs of such a diagnosis. The aim is to help clinicians guide this population towards free and informed choices.
